Dental Work "Inner City Shamanism" is a dark and treacherous trip through the broken and damaged psyche of Jay Watson during Fall of 2021. Jagged bursts of personal demons unleased on the listener, with full intent to cause pain in an effort to fast spectral toxins, banish tortured existence by cleansing the soul with unexplained Dadaist Noise rituals. Once the coats are on, the world flips upside-down, the skies turn molten blood red, your eyes roll back in your head. This is the beginning of your overwhelming gut rumbles. The potion will take effect before you know it. Haunted dwellings murmur with the street light flicker and the humming of ancient insects while the colors become more intense. The faces in your line of vision contort and warp, forever melting like the blood that drips into the chalice. Glistening. Inviting. Salty bright maroon. This ingredient is necessary for proper administration of this forgotten moon spell. Shattered glass and piss beneath our barefoot body. Naked, the tears start falling. Memories expel, ghosts shriek, a black cat crosses your path. Your superstitions came true. Blackened shamanic fingertips from the toxic concoction one must swallow with the semen of an ancient Greek god. All religions spat upon, only infamous inner city shamanism is relevant in the year of 2099. USB candles light the apartment temple. The neighbors are hiding in fear, the chanting gets louder. LOUDER. Much louder. Police have been called, the knives are sopping wet. Nothing to see here officer. Morbid fascinations turned reality, in an alternate reality only you can exist in. For the rest of time, you will be here, and everywhere at once. A forcefield surrounds you. You are everything you hate and everything you want to be, symbiotic. The cards of tarot are on fire. Combines a lot of influences/styles/subgenres but in a way that totally makes sense in an unexpected way. The more folky/quiet parts have a lot of tension and direction which I think is a rare skill! Giles
